Attendance Guidelines
Regular attendance is a cornerstone of academic success at Sri Krishna Matriculation Higher Secondary School. These guidelines are set to help students maintain consistent learning and uphold school discipline.
Minimum Attendance Requirement

Students must maintain a
minimum of 90% attendance
throughout the academic year in order to:
- Be eligible for promotion
- Appear for term and final examinations
- Participate in co-curricular and competitive events
Daily Attendance Protocol
- The school day begins promptly at 8:45 AM. All students must be seated in their classrooms before the first bell rings.
- Attendance will be taken during the first period. Students arriving late must obtain a late slip from the office.
Leave of Absence
- Leave for one day must be communicated through the school diary and signed by the parent or guardian.
- Leave exceeding one day requires a formal leave letter addressed to the Principal.
- Medical leave beyond two days must be supported by a doctor's certificate and submitted upon return.
Special Leave Situations
- Students are expected to be present on the first and last working day of every term.
- Unauthorized long leave or absence on reopening/closing days may attract strict disciplinary action or a fine.
Consequences of Poor Attendance

Frequent absenteeism without valid reason will result
in:
- Parent meetings
- Written warnings
- Disqualification from exams, if attendance falls below required percentage
